Valley Isle Aquatics offers many professional courses such as WSI, FIT, Lifeguard Training, and many more.
These courses are available for any age and can be tailored to the needs of specific groups and individuals. Whether you work with children, want training for employees, are a professional rescuer, or simply want to know how to help someone in an emergency, the American Red Cross has a program for you.
Successful course completion performance requires participation in classroom and skill sessions, as well as successful performance in skill and knowledge evaluation, which means you must score at least an 80% on each of the written examinations, participate fully in all sessions, and pass all skills.
Due to the nature of the skills in these courses, you will be participating in strenuous activities, such as swimming while assisting a student, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the floor, lifting and carrying heavy objects, or moving a person from one location to another. If you have a medical condition or disability, or if you have any questions about your ability to participate fully in these courses, discuss this with your physician and the appropriate person at the local Red Cross Chapter before you start a course.
Upon successful completion of an American Red Cross Course, you will receive an American Red Cross course certificate. Each course has its own validity length; they range from one year to three years and some do have continual education requirements.
Registration is available on http://www.valleyisleaquatics.com
If you have any further questions, please contact us. We hope to have you in class!=
